Good product: After installing the kit, I was thoroughly impressed with the noticeable increase in my truck’s height. I highly recommend using a special torsion bar tool for safe removal of the keys.
To put it simply, this kit is both affordable and highly effective in providing a few extra inches of lift. However, keep in mind that you will need to replace your shock absorber after the installation. Neglecting to do so may result in a noticeably stiffer suspension. – Peter
It’s a great kit but ! I purchased a kit for my 2008 Chevy Dually Duramax, thinking it would be great. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. The ride was horrible even after multiple adjustments. Seeking a solution, I conducted research and discovered that the issue lied with the upper control arms. I replaced my brand new Monroes with Bilstein 5100 shocks and also had a shop install a differential drop kit to correct the angle of the CV joints. Unfortunately, during the process, the passenger side boot split, causing grease to splatter all over my freshly painted calipers and my new 22-inch Fuel Runner rims. Despite these challenges, most of the kit was relatively easy to install except for the drop kit, which required cutting parts of the frame to fit. – Doniel Green
Works great: The truck looks great and is fairly simple to install. However, even with the shock extender brackets, the travel in my shocks was still insufficient. It’s important to note that adjusting the torsion keys will significantly impact the quality of your ride. As you raise the truck, the ride becomes rougher. – Ryan Garrett
Great customer service: I’ve never received anything from Amazon that fast! When I ordered it, the delivery was expected around the 5th of January. We were trying to get all the work done while on vacation. So, I sent an email asking if there’s a chance to get it sooner. Surprisingly, they replied within an hour with a tracking number. Talk about excellent service!
Now, let’s talk about the install. The parts are perfectly made, solid in construction. Although, my torsion bars were a bit troublesome to break loose, the whole ordeal only took about 4 hours. The ride is pretty close to factory height, but it went up enough to fit 33″ tires on it (about 3″). – Marcus S.
Great lift, hard to install if truck is rusty: This lift kit is great for those on a budget. It provides a smooth ride and the desired lift. However, installation can be challenging, especially for those living in rust belt areas. It may require hours or even days of pounding and grinding. If you’re willing to put in the effort, this kit is definitely worth it. – Donny

Helpful review:
Rides well: I followed the instructions for my 2001 Chevrolet 3500 and it worked perfectly. The torsion bar unloader tool was definitely necessary. I lifted mine a little over 2 inches to match the back and the ride is surprisingly good. Contrary to some reviews, it doesn’t feel like a rough ride. I can’t discern much of a difference in ride quality from before, but it certainly looks a whole lot better. – Rick
Great results: I installed this high-quality product to achieve the front leveling height I desired for my truck. I’ve included before and after pictures to showcase the transformation. The front lift effectively leveled out the height and enhanced the overall appearance. – Amazon Customer
2500HD Duramax Diesel: Today, I successfully installed the lift keys and shock extenders for my 2005 Chevy 2500HD Diesel Truck. The installation process went smoothly and everything fit perfectly. I also noticed that the product is well-made. It has leveled my truck, and there is still room to raise it higher if desired. Just a quick tip: when performing this installation, make sure to purchase a torsion bar unloader tool. Overall, I am satisfied with the outcome and excited about the improved appearance of my truck.- Donnie Greene
Works: The great product lifted the front of my 09 Sierra 2500HD by about 2.5 inches. I still had room to crank them and achieved a nice and level height of 41.5 inches all around. Installing it would’ve been difficult without the torsion bar tool, but it was worth it. – Samuel A.
Good buy 👍: Save yourself some money by buying these. They went in easily, worked perfectly, and delivered exactly what I wanted. In fact, they saved me a few dollars compared to “mainstream” brands that often resemble cheaper parts. Don’t miss out on these great products! – Julius Zaccardi

Easy install: I was pleasantly surprised by how accurately the product lived up to its name. It provided a genuine 2″ lift to the front of my 2016 Chevy 2500HD. Not only was the lift easy to install, but I also managed to change the tires and rims in less than 2 hours. – CLewis22
Worked great on my 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500: I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of these parts. Although I didn’t measure beforehand, I found that the front was only 1/4″ lower than the rear after installation. This exceeded my expectations. If you’re attempting this on your own, I highly recommend using an air-chisel. It made pushing the torsion bars back significantly easier, even on my 5-year-old work truck. – R. Thomas
Value for the moneu: I was pleasantly surprised by how well these parts worked. After the installation, I measured and found that the front was only 1/4″ lower than the rear, which exceeded my expectations. If you’re planning to do this yourself, I recommend getting an air chisel. It made pushing the torsion bars back a breeze, especially on my 5-year-old work truck. – Rick Rankin

Highlight:
Enhance the structure and appeal of your 2011-2019 Chevrolet Silverado GMC Sierra 2500 2500HD 8 Lug 4X4 2WD truck with our compatible lift kit.
Helpful review:
Looks good so far: I installed the high-quality parts, which had the expected appearance. The installation process took approximately 5 hours in my driveway. The kit also included an extra set of shop spacers, provided by Wulf. Although these spacers are not necessary for installation, they can be placed in either the front or rear. When installing the rear block, I encountered a minor issue with the slightly larger alignment pin compared to the alignment hole on my 2018 GMC Sierra 2500. However, after some effort, I was able to successfully align them. Yesterday, I completed the installation and have driven 9 miles since then. The ride feels similar to when I turned up the factory keys, but now I have 1″ less on the torsion bolts. For the front axle, additional differential spacers may be required. As of now, I am satisfied with the alignment, but I will wait until I install new tires for a final assessment. I installed these parts to accommodate 35″ tires, and according to the manufacturer, they should fit without any issues. If anything changes or affects my opinion, I will provide an update. – Kenneth N.

Helpful review:
Good parts: The 2015 Silverado 2500 installation was a success, accomplishing the goal of leveling the front end. By fully extending these, the front end could be raised approximately 2.5″ – 3″ higher than the rear, making it a potential cost-effective “lift kit” option when paired with rear blocks. When used solely for leveling the front, they performed flawlessly.
However, it is important to note that having a torsion bar unloading tool is crucial for this project. Without it, the process can become extremely challenging. I encountered difficulties using the ‘loan a tool’ unloader offered by chain parts stores, so it is advisable to investigate suitable unloading tools prior to purchasing and beginning the project. Acquiring the correct tools made the job straightforward. Remember, realignment is necessary after the installation. – That One Guy from High School
Great Value: Everything fit perfectly, raising the front end the full 2-1/2″ as advertised. However, the instructions provided were rather vague and did not specify the installation location for the 4 little round spacers shown in the advertisement’s photo. After watching some YouTube videos, I learned that the spacers should be installed on the top shock absorber studs. –John P Wright
?: Directions really sucked, mostly about the shock extensions. What it did mentioned about the shocks, didn’t need to be done and said nothing about what actually had to be done. – Peter Blum
They work: The only issue with these is the shock extensions. They are not wide enough for the shock ends, causing the eyes to bend when you tighten the bolts. This does not affect functionality, but it could be avoided for smoother operation. – Martin hassenger

This set includes front adjustable lift torsion keys, shock extenders, and a torsion key unloading tool.
Helpful review:
Not Going to get 3” on a Silverado unless you cut off the bump stop: The kit advertised a 3″ lift, but it bottoms out on the A-arms at just over 2″. To achieve the full 3″ lift, you would need to remove the stop on the A-arms. My truck is a 2019 Silverado 3500HD. While it is a high-quality kit, achieving 3 inches of lift on Silverado trucks requires modification and cutting. In my case, I preferred not to modify anything, so I settled for a 2-inch lift instead. – Nathan Poulsen
Perfect fit: Took me 2 hours taking my time and you definitely need the tool and very easy to do. Was my first time trying this and will never have someone else do it again. –Vince VanGilder
Excellent product: Installing this product is a breeze and offers great value. Before removing your old arms from the torsion bars, soak them in penetrating oil multiple times and read the instructions thoroughly to avoid injury. If you’re unfamiliar with spring and torsion bar work, consider enlisting the help of a knowledgeable friend or hiring a front-end shop. By doing your homework, you can ensure a safe and effective installation of this excellent product. – BC from indiana
Great fit and easy to DIY 2011 Chevy 2500: I am delighted with the fast delivery of the product, accompanied by easy-to-follow instructions. This kit even includes the torsion tool, which I’m grateful for as I wouldn’t have known how to proceed without it. The installation process was quick and simple, just a matter of fastening and loosening bolts, and it greatly enhanced the appearance of my truck. – Amazon Customer

Quick and easy install with the right tools: With the right tools, installation is quick and easy. The adjustable height for torsion bars is a notable feature. Immediate realignment is recommended after completion. Supreme, thank you for the fast shipping, everything is as promised. Although the instructions could be improved, I would have given it 5 stars. My son helped me with the work, but there were a few things missing. Luckily, being familiar with the job, I didn’t have to make any calls for assistance. Good product: This product seems excellent with good heavy-duty construction. As depicted in the advertisement, it arrived on time. Helpful review:
Works as advertised / shipping came much faster than expected: Installing is a breeze with the clamp tool. However, for a 2019 Silverado 2500, a 3-inch lift might be too optimistic unless you plan on getting larger tires or new upper control arms. If you go with a 2.5-inch lift, the factory upper control arms may hit the down travel stops. Don’t forget to get an alignment afterwards. Additionally, for 4×4 vehicles, I would suggest purchasing differential drop spacers. – Brian
Great Product, great shipping: Installed it myself and it does exactly what it says, performing well. It was fairly easy to install with a bit of mechanical know-how. Although I didn’t have a good before picture, I posted the only one I had. I ordered it on Wednesday and received it on Friday with free shipping, which was a pleasant surprise. – Austinjames
Well worth the money: I am absolutely thrilled with the results! Installing it was a breeze, especially with the torsion bar puller and a powerful impact tool, both of which I had. The improvement in my truck’s stance and ride quality is remarkable. I couldn’t be happier! – Robert ambler

Helpful review:
Truck is level now. Great price. No complaints: The price was great, and the packaging was good. It was easy to install, and now my truck sits perfectly. I didn’t use the shock extensions because I needed new shocks anyway, so I got taller ones. (Update 2-19-2022) I just replaced the lower control arms, and now it sits like it did when it was stock. I have the bolts cranked all the way up, but now the tires are rubbing. Unfortunately, I can’t get the full lift I was expecting from them. If I back off the bolts, it will basically be at the stock height. So, it seems that the keys aren’t much different from the factory ones now. – amber haughton
Great kit: The packaging was excellent, with no flaws from shipping. Although the installation was a bit of a pain due to the factory keys, once those were removed, installing the new ones was as easy as pie. There were no issues with looseness or fitment. As for the shock mounts, I cannot speak to their performance since I installed new lift shocks, rendering the extender brackets unnecessary. – Jonathan
Not like they’re really necessary though: This kit doesn’t come with any instructions, but they’re not really necessary. If you have any questions or concerns during the installation process, you can simply watch a YouTube video on how to level your lb7 Duramax using a leveling kit. Just remember to disconnect your shocks before tightening the new torsion keys to your desired height. – Alex
Not 2009 duramax: The advertised item is deceiving as it claims to fit many models, but in reality, it is only a quarter inch different from the stock key on a 2009 Duramax. Consequently, over-adjustments become necessary. It is important to note that there are specific keys designed for each model, which unfortunately, this item does not possess. – Shauna B

TAg: best leveling kits for Silverado 2500HD

I’m Timothy Ballard, owner of a used car dealership in Springfield. I love just about everything automotive, but I have a special place in my heart for trucks. I’m an ASE Certified Master Technician, so I know my way around a car. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family and hiking new trails.
I recently purchased an ’05 2500HD and I’m looking to level the truck and put on 285’s. Can you suggest a leveling kit that would offer the best ride? Also, do I need to upgrade the shocks as well?
You can refer to leveling kit products that have been carefully selected by our editors.
I quickly installed a rough country leveling kit on my truck, but it turned out to be terrible. It was so rough that I couldn’t let my newborn ride in it. However, after installing my Stg 4 Cognito leveling kit from Nor Cal, it rides better than stock, even without alignment.
I currently own a 2011 Silverado Extended Cab LS 4.8 2WD. Although I would love to have the crew 6.2 4×4 z71 LTZ, I’m only 23 years old, married with two kids, and budget is a concern. However, I really want to customize and upgrade my beloved truck. After doing some research, I’ve noticed a wide variety of leveling kits available. I’m looking for a high-quality option that fits my budget and won’t disappoint. It would be great if you could provide recommendations on which leveling kit to choose. Additionally, I’m curious if there is any significant difference between plastic spacers and metal ones. Thank you all in advance for your valuable input, and if possible, please share before and after pictures.
The Rough Country kit is a popular choice here because of its ease of installation and affordable price of around $65. It’s likely the option I’ll go with, although I’m waiting to have enough money for both the wheels and tires at the same time.
