Best Lift Kit for Toyota Tundra (2)

Highlight: Enhance your Tundra’s capabilities with the Tundra Max Lift: 3.0″F/2.0″R and max tire diameter of 35″. Rest assured, your factory ride quality is guaranteed. Additionally, skid plate spacers are provided to easily adjust the skid plate down when using differential drop brackets.

Helpful review: I installed this kit on my 2013 Tundra with the Rock Warrior package. Here are my findings:

TRD rear sway bar: No need for an adapter to reattach it.

Sway bar spacers: Instead of the silver ones shown, mine were black steel.

Compatibility with skid plate: This kit does not fit with the accessory skid plate. To attach the rear of the accessory plate, longer bolts are required, which cannot reach the holes when spacers are installed on the factory skid plate. I followed the instructions and used the kit screws for the factory plate, and purchased shorter bolts and washers to attach the accessory plate to the factory one.

Installing strut spacers: Two options – either have a second person to help push the front suspension together while starting the screws, or use a ratchet strap to pull it into place.

U-bolt plates: On my 2013 Tundra, the u-bolt plates have specific orientations. Ensure they are put on the same way they were removed.

I hope this revised version provides a clearer and more organized structure, making it easier to understand and more visually appealing. Review by Bundabar

Trending review: Installing this lift is far from easy! If you decide to take on this challenge, ensure that you have a complete set of tools at your disposal. Breaking loose the lower control arm bolts requires the use of a torque wrench, while handling the differential spacers calls for a flex-head angled ratcheting wrench. With minimal space between the differential and cross member, along with various angles to overcome, it’s essential to have the right tools on hand. Additionally, having an extra set of hands is crucial. Dedicate an entire day to this task, as it’s no ordinary strut tower lift. – ELton

Reassuring review: The leveling kit is effortless to install and provides a visually appealing stance to the 2016 Toyota Tundra Limited Crewcab Trd 4×4. With this kit, you retain the factory ride quality. It allows for easy fitting of 33″ tires, and I personally put on 34″ tires with 20″ rims. Although I had to trim some of the plastic trim on the front bumper to accommodate the larger tires, the end result was worth it. Additionally, removing the mud flaps ensured sufficient tire clearance. I highly recommend this product for its functionality and aesthetic enhancement. – sam miles

Most-discussed review: After effortlessly installing this lift, my truck’s appearance significantly improved. However, to my disappointment, multiple attempts to align the wheels at three different shops yielded subpar results. Consequently, I anticipate frequent tire replacements. Even after investing in new UCA’s expected to resolve the issue, my tires continue to deteriorate. It is worth noting that my friend, who owns a 2017 Tundra identical to mine, is facing the same problems. I have reached out to ReadyLift on two occasions, but unfortunately, no progress has been made. – brecca

Updated review: I have a 2017 TRD Off Road Tundra that looks badass without being too rednecky. It’s perfect for me. After adjusting the suspension ratio to 3:2, I achieved a slight 1/2″ rake, which is great for my towing needs. I then put on new Ridge Grapplers (285/70/18), which fit perfectly and look awesome. – OPSteel

Favorite review: I rarely write reviews, but I must say, installing this lift was a breeze. Not only does my truck still ride smoothly, but it also sits perfectly on 35s. The only minor adjustment needed was modifying the wheel liner a little. – Amazon Customer

2)Leveling Lift Kits for Tundra 2007-2021

Top-rated: 699+++ ratings | 52+++ answered questions

Highlight: Strut lift spacers are made from durable forged aircraft billet 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance. The CNC precision machining and black anodized surface provide a sleek look, while the 10.9-12.9 grade solid bolts offer exceptional strength and durability without compressing or warping over time.

Helpful review: I didn’t receive any instructions with the box, but I watched a YouTube video on a similar product for installation. One thing to note is that the leveling pads lack markers indicating the inside and outside, which would have made correct placement during installation easier. However, I managed to get it done in about 6 hours with a bit of effort, clever thinking, and some hard work. Now, my 2017 Tundra looks absolutely fantastic! – ticalian stallion

Trending review: There is nothing wrong with the product; it performs exactly as expected and is incredibly strong. However, if I were to do it again and go through the process of removing the struts, I would simply opt for using the struts in the first place. – Clarence oconnor

Reassuring review: I installed the spacer on my 2018 Tundra 4×4 for less than $50. Let me tell you, it was totally worth it! The picture in the garage is before the install. Although the installation process was a bit of a pain, it had nothing to do with the spacer. Surprisingly, my ride quality remains unchanged. Getting the front end alignment done was a breeze, and after a week, it settled out perfectly, giving me a leveled look with the back. – Roelio Gutierrez

Most-discussed review: Installed on my 2001 Toyota Sequoia with no issues whatsoever. It lifted the vehicle by about 2-1/8″. I find it confusing why the seller only mentions compatibility with Tundra, as Sequoia has the same type of suspension and bolt pattern. Please note that the strut needs to be rotated 180 degrees to match the hole pattern, but installation is straightforward since it only mounts one way. However, I do not recommend using these spacers for off-roading. They extend the drop-out travel, which puts stress on the upper ball joint and may cause it to fail. Moreover, they limit upward wheel travel because the shock bottoms out before the suspension hits the bump stops. If you desire both lift and functionality, consider using shocks like Bilstien 5100 or King-type shock coil-over replacements. – J. Scott

Updated review: The leveling kit worked great in my 2020 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Offroad package, raising the front exactly 2 inches. I’m extremely satisfied with its performance and would definitely purchase it again. – Phill Knapp

Favorite review: I didn’t receive any useful instructions, so I did some research on YouTube. It took a few hours and some effort, but I was extremely satisfied. Overall, if you have some mechanical know-how, the process is pretty straightforward. Keep in mind, you’ll need to get an alignment after the installation. – Jay Bass2422

3)Supreme Suspensions – 3″ Front + 3″ Rear Lift Kit for 1999-2006

Top-rated: 136+++ ratings | 35+++ answered questions

Highlight: Get a high-quality suspension lift kit to enhance the appearance of your vehicle while increasing ground clearance. This allows you to effortlessly accommodate larger custom rims and tires. After a simple 2-4 hour installation process, you’ll be ready to showcase your new and improved ride! It’s worth noting that an alignment is recommended after installing any kit that modifies strut geometry.

Helpful review: I am extremely pleased with this kit for my 2005 Toyota Tundra Limited. I had it professionally installed by a garage, along with new stock shocks/struts and tires. The installation required some expertise for the front end and the removal of stubborn nuts and bolts. I chose not to attempt it myself, and the $350.00 in labor costs was well worth it. The whole process was completed in just a few hours.

I decided to go up a couple of sizes on the tires, from 265/65/17 to 285/70/17, and kept the stock wheels. To prevent the tires from rubbing against the control arms when turned all the way, I added 1.25″ wheel spacers. The installation went smoothly, and now my truck has a more aggressive stance with the BFG KO’s. The tires no longer stick out of the fender wells. The truck sits mostly level, with just about 1/2″ higher in the rear, which is exactly what I wanted since it was previously 2 1/2 – 2 3/4″ lower in the front. – Amazon Customer

Trending review: Installing this product by yourself can be challenging, but it would be helpful to have someone with a 2X4 to assist in prying down on the lower control arm. This allows for proper fitting of the spacer and strut. Keep in mind that if you’re installing for larger tires, you may need wheel spacers or new offset rims. In my case, with a 2004 Toyota Tundra, I opted to keep the stock look and rims. I upgraded from 265/65R 17 to 285/70R 17, resulting in a significant lift. It now sits higher than my friend’s stock F350. – C.R. CONNOR

Reassuring review: We highly recommend lifting our Toyota Tundra! It has been a year since installation, and we have had no issues. The process was a breeze, and the results are great. This product is highly recommended! – M. Riahi

Most-discussed review: The installation process is easy, and the quality of the product is impressive. Although it did provide some lift, it didn’t level the truck as much as I had anticipated. However, it does add a visually appealing touch to my stock 2002 Tundra. Additionally, it easily accommodates 20″ rims and larger tires with extra space to spare. With the lift, 20″ rims, and new tires, the front of the truck is raised by 4 inches while the rear is raised by 3 inches. – THConst.

Updated review: This lift kit is fantastic! If you decide to buy it, I highly suggest getting the differential drop kit and a set of geometry correcting upper control arms. All the parts are expertly machined and welded. With the help of wheel spacers, I was able to fit 285/70/17 tires. – sean c.

Favorite review: The installation of this lift is both nice and easy, but it only provides two inches instead of the promised three. Other than that, it is quite good. – Eric E Vinson

4)KSP Tundra Lift Kit Front 2″ Aircraft Billet Strut Spacers Leveling Lift Kit fit

Top-rated: 636+++ ratings | 71+++ answered questions

Highlight: This product is designed to fit 1999-2006 TUNDRA 2WD 4WD models. Please note that it does not fit Tundra Rock Warrior model or TRD suspension package. (Not compatible with Tacoma)

Attention: Our lift kit will raise the front of your truck by 2 inches. Keep in mind that due to suspension geometry, the lift height may not directly correspond to the kit thickness. Therefore, we strongly recommend getting an alignment after installation.

Helpful review: I purchased this kit for my 2005 Tundra quad cab 4×4. The leveling blocks are made of sturdy CNC aluminum, approximately 1.125″ thick. While many reviews mention easy installation, it’s not as straightforward for the Tundra. Here are some tips to simplify and expedite the process:

Begin by removing the strut assembly. Before installing the spacer, grind around 3/8″ off each of the strut mount bolts on the top of your strut. This ensures that they sit flush or below the top of the spacer, which bolts back into the upper strut mount in the wheel well from the top.

Contrary to what I read, dropping the rear mounts of the lower control arms does not make the installation of the lower strut mount any easier. This cannot be done on first-generation Tundras without removing the steering control arms first. To simplify the process, it is unnecessary to remove either the steering control arms or the skid plate. Dropping the skid plate only complicates matters.

Instead, remove the four bolts that secure the ball joint assembly on the lower control arm to the wheel hub. Additionally, unbolt the outer bolt of the upper control arm, tie rods, and other components holding the suspension assembly together (including the ABS sensors). This allows you to move the wheel hub assembly to one side, providing leverage to push down on the lower control arm. While standing on the passenger side and applying significant pressure, it will be possible for someone else to install the lower mount bolt. This specific step is crucial for reinstalling the lower strut mount after bolting the assembly to the top mount. Please note that this entire process is not easy, as the spacer block utilizes all available vertical space between the upper strut mount and lower strut mount, and then some.

Although you didn’t remove the control arms, it’s important to get your truck aligned immediately as the spacers impact vertical tow. This causes the bottom of the wheel to angle inward by approximately an inch. – AMFisch

Trending review: The kit I purchased had great quality components and gave my truck a nice boost. Installing the back blocks was a breeze with no surprises. However, the front spacers required some preparation as they can be tricky. The factory bolts that originally connected the strut to the mounting plate now connect the strut to the new spacer (using the factory nuts). It’s important to note that the new bolts included in the kit are for the strut-to-mounting plate connection, but you’ll need to rotate the top of the strut 1/4 turn to align the new spacer holes with the mounting plate holes. To do this, you’ll need to compress the spring to relieve the load, then rotate the top of the strut. I used a compression tool to compress the springs and kept it on while rotating the top to align the holes (the new bolts are threaded from the top down into the spacer). If you compress the spring, twist the top, release the compression tool, and find that the spacer holes aren’t aligned, you’ll have to repeat this step. By keeping the spring compressed, you can twist the top and align the new spacer holes with the mounting plate holes. Fortunately, no additional modifications were required for the grounding strap, brake lines, etc. I did twist the brake line brackets on the back end to prevent the lines from resting on the leaf springs, but no line extensions were needed. This kit was successfully installed on my 2014 Tundra TSS Off Road. – Joel Soto

Most-discussed review: This kit is outstanding with great pricing and excellent quality. I’ve leveled three trucks this year, and I must say that this kit is as good or even better than other brands. The packaging was secure, and it arrived on time. The installation was straightforward and took me just two hours. What impressed me the most was the detailed and fabulous instructions that came with this kit. Unlike other kits that lack instructions or provide generic ones, this kit surpassed my expectations.- David Ragan

Updated review: After purchasing the level kit, I expected it to be 2 inches based on the box’s description. However, I measured only 1 inch, which left me feeling frustrated. Nevertheless, once I installed these, it significantly lifted the front of my truck and improved its appearance. I have before and after pictures to demonstrate the transformation. Thank you so much for your assistance. – Lance

5)WULF 3″ Front 2″ Rear Leveling Lift Kit

Top-rated: 16+++ ratings | 18+++ answered questions

Highlight: Strut Spacers provide lift, but the physical thickness isn’t directly proportional to the amount of lift. It is important to note that IFS suspensions generally have a 2:1 ratio (2 to 1). For a better understanding, let’s consider an example: a 1″ thick Strut Spacer will give a 2″ lift.

Helpful review: I had a great experience with this product – not only is it amazing, but the service provided by the company was outstanding. They quickly resolved the minor issues I had without any problem. Tomorrow, I am excited to install it and share pictures. The installation process was a bit lengthy, but having an extra pair of hands definitely helped. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product. – Diego McCormick

6)ReadyLift 69-5475 4.0″ SST Lift Kit

Top-rated: 59+++ ratings | 25+++ answered questions

Highlight: The kit includes differential drop brackets designed for 4WD models, specifically the 2015 Tundra TRD Pro with Bilstein shocks. By lowering the differential, it helps maintain Toyota’s near factory CV angle specifications, ensuring optimal performance for these exceptional trucks.

Helpful review: After installing the kit on the lift, it turned out to be easier than expected, although it still took four hours for the two of us. It was a bit challenging to install the upper control arms. Now, it looks great with a four-inch lift in the front and a two-inch lift in the rear. The kit worked well for deer hunting this year.

It has been on for six months now without any issues. Aligning it was a breeze, and it turned out perfectly. There were no contact problems with the factory 17×8 TRD off-road wheels and 285/70/17 tires. I’ve upgraded to 35/12.50/17 KO2 tires, and there haven’t been any issues. The vehicle runs smoothly and in a straight line, with no vibrations. I am extremely satisfied with the project. The stance with the 4/2 lift is just perfect, and I’ll probably maintain the same stance when I switch to long travel.

Trending review: I am extremely satisfied with the lift on my 2010 Tundra CrewMax! After conducting thorough research, I confidently chose this kit. To ensure proper installation and alignment, I entrusted a local shop with the job. Following the lift, I upgraded to Toyo R/T 285/75×18 tires, perfectly complemented by Fuel Maverick wheels. – bruceindfw

7)ReadyLift 69-5175 3 “F / 1 “R SST Lift Kit

Top-rated: 104 ratings+++ | 31+++ answered questions

Highlight: The benefits of using this kit:

  • Allows for a larger tire compared to a leveling kit.
  • More economical compared to a big lift kit.
  • 100% bolt-on, with no cutting or modifications required.
  • Easy installation, with no modifications required.
  • Easy removal if desired.
  • Increased ground clearance.

Helpful review: The kit performed as expected, successfully raising the front by three inches and the back by one inch. The installation process at Tire Kingdom took approximately four hours, with some difficulty encountered in fitting the front struts. While a slight clunking noise may be heard during sharp, hard left turns, there were no issues with installing 275-65-20 BF Goodrich all-terrain tires on 20×9 rims; no rubbing was experienced. Overall, this budget-friendly leveling kit is highly recommended for those seeking a mild lift. – charles b smith

Trending review: When it comes to lift kits, I prefer ones that simply bolt to the top of coilovers. This way, you don’t have to deal with excessive preload, and the shock still provides a stock-like ride quality. Additionally, I would recommend installing longer rear shocks for optimal performance. Remember to allocate enough time for the lift kit installation, and don’t forget to perform an alignment afterwards. – Matthew Akiona

Reassuring review: I have been using the 2018 Tundra for a few months now. I had a shop install it, and so far, I haven’t experienced any issues. It also looks great. I put 35×11.5XR20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on +20 offset rims and noticed a slight rub on the fender well plastic. However, it was easily resolved with minor trimming. Fortunately, I haven’t encountered any metal contact. – A guy that buys things

Perfect Leveling Kit For Tundra: The leveling kit is absolutely awesome and definitely worth the investment. I highly recommend finding an experienced installer who is familiar with these kits. Paying attention to the subtle details, such as alignment specifications and the proper sequence of reassembly, can make a huge difference. Personally, I had my kit installed at the ReadyLift R&D shop where they guided me through each step. Additionally, be sure to check out the online blogs and forums for useful tips and tricks. However, keep in mind that this is a leveling kit, not an off-road lift kit. If you plan on aggressively off-roading in the desert, it’s important to understand that parts may eventually wear out. – Kirk

Updated review: I bought this kit for my 2020 Tundra and it looks amazing on my truck. Although I encountered a minor issue with the rear block kit, the customer support team was outstanding. I reached out via email, and they promptly responded within a few hours. To my surprise, they even overnighted replacement parts that same day. The combination of great-looking lift and excellent customer service made this purchase a truly satisfying experience! – wesley t bain

Helpful review: I had a frustrating experience with the spacer I purchased for my 2022 Tundra. Despite the manufacturer’s claim that it would fit perfectly, the bevel was not large enough for the strut top plate. This meant that the spacer couldn’t seat correctly. Discovering this issue after already spending over 2 hours on the project and having to dismantle and reassemble my truck was incredibly disappointing. Moreover, since the installation process involved loosening the lower control arms, I now have to spend an additional $150 on getting an alignment done.

I don’t believe the manufacturer tested these spacers on the new 2022 Tundra. To confirm my suspicion, I decided to sand down one of the spacers. After spending about an hour and a half sanding and using a sanding disk on my drill, I was finally able to remove enough material to get the spacer to fit properly. However, this is not the solution I paid for, so I will not be installing it this way. – Ben

  1. Currently, options for lifts are limited. I was considering stacking a Rough Country and Procomp coilover kit, providing approximately 4 inches of lift. However, it seems that Rough Country is soon releasing a 6-inch kit. Carbon Shocks offers a front coilover kit, while Adventure Motors has assembled a Fox kit. My objective is to achieve a lift of around 5-6 inches, paired with 37-inch tires on 17-inch wheels. I have already sourced the wheels, specifically the Blackhorn BH-01 17×9 +12et, and they fit perfectly. I am unsure if Rough Country has a spindle prepared for their upcoming 6-inch lift; but, hopefully, the wheels will clear the spindle if one is included in the RC kit. I would appreciate any insights or experiences from those who have used lifts other than spacer kits.

    • If you’re going for looks, the bracket lift may seem like a quick fix, but it’s not suitable for off-road situations. For an awesome lift on these trucks, a true coil over/UCA setup is the way to go, even though it provides a maximum lift of about 3-3.5 inches.

  2. Do you want a rough ride or a comfortable one? Don’t go for excessive lift kits like those who regret spending $500 for a 6″ lift only to drive their truck at 10mph.
